Colgate Palmolive Pakistan Limited announced today, its move from a legacy IT system to a more robust G Suite, through their partnership with Sepia Solutions, Google Cloud Partner in Pakistan.
The update is part of Colgate Palmolive’s approach on social collaboration and tools, in compliance with their global standards, to meet their cybersecurity needs and at the same time focusing on cost reduction, better collaboration and enhanced teamwork overall.
The project took less than six months, and was implemented by Sepia Solutions, to be rolled out across Colgate Palmolive’s offices across the country. Chief Solution Architect of Sepia Solutions, commenting on the partnership said,
“When Colgate came to us, they knew they would move to G Suite. However, they wanted more details about the technical requirements, migration activities, integration with existing system, and how long it will take. They were also concerned about uptime, security, compliance and other collaboration issues. We had detailed sessions to address all of these topics and more.”
The G Suite set of applications helps in reducing operational overheads, support costs, as well as uptime. The setup also includes a robust security system in place, ensuring that employees have a strengthened system for information sharing and collaboration, increasing the overall efficiency of the workforce.
Ahmed Rehmani, IT Director at Colgate Palmolive said,
“Moving to the cloud isn’t something to rush into. We had to evaluate different solutions in the market, make a detailed analysis; and amongst them, the Google Cloud solution proved to be the ideal choice for the sophisticated operational needs of our organization. Moreover, since people use it more today, it had a degree of familiarity, which would help our employees migrate faster and more easily. The G Suite platform promises to fulfill different requirements of the large and diverse workforce, who needs to collaborate and share a variety of information and data, every day, and over secure networks.”
Mr. Rehmani also said, “Sepia Solutions didn’t just provide us the Google Cloud solution. They took us from start to finish – the support department was with us all the way, they provided us complete guidance through the migration process, they arranged training sessions, and even provided us with a self-paced training portal to facilitate the rest of the employees. The people of Sepia are a pleasure to work with.”
“I’m delighted that my organization is now equipped with the latest technology from Google Cloud, thereby ensuring strong connectivity amongst our thousands of employees and business associates, alongside the promise of data security, privacy protection and compliance,” he concluded.
Haseeb Kodvavi, the Co-Founder of Sepia Solutions, said,
“Colgate is a prestigious organization of the Pakistan consumer market, which is growing at an exponential rate. They have made a progressive decision and a reliable choice. Google Cloud will help take their firm to the next level of organizational growth. They have been a pleasure to work with, their team has been most cooperative. We expect more such organizations of Pakistan to make the move as well, either to Google Cloud or Microsoft, and when they do, Sepia Solutions will be here to help.”
