(PR): Allied Bank Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading private sector commercial banks, has recently entered into a strategic partnership with Mastercard, a leading technology company in the global payments industry. Under this partnership, both Allied Bank and Mastercard will collaborate and launch Mastercard Premium Cards, Digital Payment and Remittance products for Allied Bank customers.
The MoU, in this regard, was signed by Faisal Nadeem Siddiqui, Group Head, Digital Banking Group, Allied Bank and Khalid Elgibali, Division President, Middle East and North Africa, Mastercard. Asif Bashir, Chief Commercial & Retail Banking Group (South), Allied Bank, and Aurangzaib Khan, Area Head, Pakistan & Afghanistan, Mastercard also attended the signing ceremony.
Faisal Nadeem Siddiqui, Group Head, Digital Banking Group, Allied Bank, said, “We are very excited about our strategic alliance with Mastercard. As one of the country’s largest banks, we understand the importance of providing the latest and most secure payment options to our millions of customers, and working with an industry player such as Mastercard will help us deliver on our commitment to introduce innovative payment solutions in Pakistan.”
Aurangzaib Khan, Area Head, Pakistan & Afghanistan, Mastercard, said, “We are very pleased to enter into this alliance with Allied Bank, which is one of the top banks in Pakistan. Pakistan is a key emerging market for Mastercard, and we remain focused on driving the adoption of electronic payment solutions in the country.”
